Grades 6-8 Special event/ activity 2007-08

Note: each class begins with 15 min of prayer in the Church. Parents are invited to stay and pray. Class begins 6:15pm in the Church

Sept 16 class - Opening class

Sept 23 class - Last chance to hand in Permission slips and fee for grade 7 and 8 Retreat Day on 10/14

Oct 14 Class - Grade 6 class at St. Bridget , Grades 7 and 8 Diocesan Youth Spectacular  at Lake Quassy,  10:30am buses leave St. Bridget -9pm return, hand out Unicef boxes         

Oct 21 class - Unicef boxes will be passed out, website: info, note please save extra Halloween candy. It will be brought to St. Joseph Cathedral which gives sandwiches and fruit daily to the working poor.

Nov. 11 class - Return Unicef boxes and extra Halloween candy

Jan 27 class - *Parents please attend - Grades 6/7-Game Night-“Are You Smarter Than your 6th and 7th Grader?”, 8th graders have regular class    

Feb 10 class - Pass out Rice Bowls for Lent, your spare change can change a family’s life

Feb 24 class - Bring food items for MACC pantry

March 2 class - Permission slips for Grade 8 retreat on March 9th, attention Parents- chaperones, baking and setting up/clean-up are needed for this event at East Catholic, please call the office

March 9 Class for Grades 6 & 7 - here at St. Bridget

March 9 Grade 8 Only - East Catholic musician/story teller Steve Angrisano, buses from St. Bridget at 6pm-back by 9pm      

March 30 class - Rice Bowls money returned  

April 6- class- grade 6 & 7 Child Lures presentation w/parents in cafeteria at 6pm, grade 8 attending one-man show "Dirt" in auditorium with 9/10 graders at 6pm    

April 20 class - 3-6 pm - Pedals 4 Progress Collection, Fall registration,parent volunteers needed

April 27 Last class         Class and fall registration

These envelopes are to help you keep track of the many activities we have planned during the year. Students should bring the envelope and their book each week. We will also use these envelopes for all notices and homework, please check them weekly
