Dear parents,
Welcome to Saint Bridget Religious Education Program. We are happy to welcome you and your child to our program. The Roman Catholic Church has always held that it is primarily the duty of parents to raise their children in the faith. That is a very difficult task because of the many demands on families. We here at Saint Bridget want to support you in raising your children to be faithful disciples of Jesus. We have several different programs of faith formation for you to choose from. These options are listed on our website and in our handbook, which is available by calling the office. Please consult these resources carefully as you consider which option is best for you and your child.
With over 500 students enrolled in our program, we want to make sure that your registration is processed as soon as possible. Please be sure we have the following information.
 | In order to be enrolled in our program you must be a registered parishioner here at Saint Bridget. Parish registration forms are available in the entrances of our church and the auditorium or by calling the parish office at 643-2403. |
| Parents of new students must attach a copy of their baptismal certificate with their registration, unless the child was baptized here. If you do not have this information, call the church where your child was baptized and ask them to send you a copy. |
| Students who have been enrolled in religious education classes in another parish should include a letter stating the last grade the child completed and a verification of the sacraments received. |
| Note that students must complete one year of religious education before they can begin to prepare for the sacraments. |
Our program is run with the help of volunteers and we are always looking for people to help as teachers, classroom aides or in the office. If you would like to help please indicate that on your registration form.
The deadline for registration is June 1, 2007. As always we have limited space on certain days, so registration is accepted on first come first served basis. This may seem early, but we need to order books, recruit and train teachers and make arrangements for where and when classes will meet. When we are able to place our book orders early, we receive a discount. For this reason all registrations received after June 1, will be charged a $5.00 late fee and if the available classes for that grade level are full, students will be placed in our family study program.
Students will receive a letter with the starting dates in early September. As soon as the calendar is finalized, it will be available on the Religious Education Web site
